The Irish Bass Protection and Awareness Group was formed in response to the decline of European Sea Bass (Dicentrarchus Labrax) in Irish coastal waters. Shore angling for Bass is an important amenity along the south-east coast of Ireland and is potentially threatened by illegal commercial over-fishing.
